Ukranian Easter eggs

This year's Easter eggs, made with the pysanky technique. (A lot like batik but on eggshells instead of fabric.)

I'd been wanting to introduce my husband to this craft for a while, and I finally bought the dyes this year. We both need a lot of practice, but doing pysanky is fun and relaxing even if the eggs don't turn out that great. We did some simple designs to practice, and then we each made our own version of a dragon egg. His is the red one, mine is blue. We still have dyes leftover, and I use plenty of eggs when I cook, so if we can find a nice basket to keep them in, we'll probably make some more.
