Finished earrings are here: [link]

Here's A tutorial detailing my method of making Link's fireshield earrings from The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. After I uploaded pictures from the set I made for myself, There were a few people who expressed the desire to make their own set, and I thought a quick tutorial may be a help to anyone else who wants try it. Most of these materials should be available at almost any craft store.

The materials for these are inexpensive, and the steps aren't hard, but it takes time and patience to get the shape exactly right. Don't give up if your earrings don't look good right away. Keep working at it and they'll eventually look right.

It'll probably be easier than going through the Eldin Silent Realm, anyway! XD

I found the references for the earring shape here: [link] and here: [link]

I'm sorry for the large picture size, please download for fullview!

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword and the design for the Fireshield Earrings belong to Nintendo.

First off, your earrings are gorgeous and I'm SO happy you made an awesome tutorial to go with it. Thank you!

Second, at this point, I would GLADLY go through the elfin silent realm to get these earrings than to continue messing mine up. And it's not even the spikes that are giving me trouble (havent even gotten that far yet). I just can't seem to wrap the clay around the wire. It either ends up too fat and mis-shaped, or it's too thins and it tears so you can see the metal.
I know u describe in good detail how to successfully do this In the tutorial, but I was wondering if u had any additional advice for a fellow Zelda lover.
Thanks!
